Breaker Is Not Business As Usual.
At Breaker we believe that ingenuity is a learned skill that can be taught. The demands of the innovation economy call on all of us to reframe how we learn, how we teach, and how we chart our careers. Our programs bring real-world relevancy to learning. Participants leave Breaker with new perspectives and abilities, having collaborated to create products or services ready to be stress-tested and developed.
Founder and TED Senior Fellow Dr. Juliette LaMontagne began prototyping the Breaker model in 2011. Since that time a collaboration with Stanford University’s d.school brought challenges to New York, Detroit, Portland, and Boise where we have trained both students and teachers to use challenge-based learning to foster innovation.
